Will the planned Royal Mail strikes affect my order?

We use Royal Mail to deliver our Letters from Santa. We’re doing all we can to send your letters quickly including delivering via 1st class, but we still recommend that you order your letter(s) as soon as possible to minimise any impact the strikes may have on the delivery of your letter.

In the unlikely event that your letter(s) doesn’t arrive in time, you will receive an email with a link to your letter(s) to view it as a PDF, so that you can download or print it at home from the day you make your order.

When will my letter arrive?

We will start sending letters from late November, so if you are waiting for your order, please be aware that your letter will not arrive until early December.

You’ll receive an email update to let you know when your letter(s) are on the way, and you should then expect it to take 5-7 working days to arrive*.

Christmas is an extremely busy time for the postal service, and orders may be delayed due to planned Royal Mail strikes in December, so some letters may take longer to arrive depending on when they were ordered. If you would like your letter(s) to arrive in time for Christmas, we would encourage you to place your order by the following dates:

Order placed by post (to Europe/overseas): 30 November
Order placed online (to Europe/overseas): Midnight 4 December
Order placed by post (to the UK): 8 December
Order placed online (to the UK): Midnight 14 December

If you have ordered after 14 December, we will send your letter 1st class through Royal Mail and we will do our best to get your letter(s) to you as quickly as possible. Please note, however, that we cannot guarantee it will arrive before Christmas Eve, so you might be waiting a bit longer before it lands through your letterbox. You will be emailed a link to your letter as a PDF so you can download or print it at home, just in case!

*This only applies to letters being ordered to the UK. Letters being posted outside the UK will take longer to arrive.

Can I make changes to my letter after I’ve ordered it?

Unfortunately, we cannot make changes to your letter after you have ordered it. Please make sure you preview your letter and check it carefully before ordering. If you make a mistake, you will have to order another letter.

Can I print my letter at home?

If you’re in a rush to get your letter, you can download and print it any time after you receive your confirmation email. Just follow the instructions, and the link in the email – you’ll need your order number for this, which can be found in your confirmation email.

My donation was unsuccessful, can I try and donate again?

You can donate to us directly online using this link. We’ll make sure that this does not delay the order for your little one(s).

I didn’t receive an email confirmation. Did my order go through?

Sometimes, email spam filters will inadvertently block emails, so please check your junk email folder.

If you placed your order and were taken through to a confirmation page, then your order will be processed. If you would like a copy of your confirmation email to confirm this has been processed, you can contact Santa’s Little Helpers via the contact details at the bottom of this page.

I've ordered my letter, but have another question that isn't on this page. How can I contact you?

Santa’s Little Helpers are on hand to help answer any questions regarding your order. Please see the contact details at the bottom of this page.

I’m having trouble creating my letter / submitting my order online

If you’re having issues with filling in any fields online or with submitting an order, please call us on 0344 417 0322 to place your order over the phone.

How can I order my letter?

We recommend that you place your order online. This is the quickest and easiest way for you to choose the designs, choose your personalisation options, and preview your letter(s) before you place your order.

If you’re having issues placing your order via our website, call Santa’s Little Helpers on 0344 417 0322 to place your order over the phone.

How many letters can I order?

The short answer is: as many as you’d like!

You can order up to 6 letters in one go, for children at up to 6 addresses. If two or more letters in an order are going to children at the same address, these letters will be sent together in a big envelope so they arrive at the same time.

If you need to order more than 6 letters, we would recommend that you put through two orders, making sure that all the letters going to the same address are on the same order.

How will these arrive?

If you’re ordering more than one letter to the same address, we’ll post them all together. The letters will arrive in a large, Christmas-themed envelope, addressed to ‘The Children.’ Their letters will be in separate envelopes inside the larger envelope.

Why should I donate for this letter?

We print and post every letter, so we ask that you donate to help us cover these costs and help protect children. All profits from Letter from Santa go towards the work of the NSPCC.

While you’re sending Christmas magic to your little one, a suggested donation of £8 could give vital support to a child by helping ensure that Childline stays open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. A child contacts Childline every 25 seconds. And every gift to the NSPCC helps us be there for children who have reached out for help – even on Christmas Day. The NSPCC is here to listen, reassure, and take action to help keep children safe so that abuse doesn’t happen, and it doesn’t shape their future.
